11 years!

Jeff and I celebrated 11 years of marriage this past Friday. It was a wonderful day! Jeff surprised me when he woke up and told me that he had taken the day off and had the entire day planned for the two of us. I was so excited to get to just spend the whole day being surprised. He first made our family a great breakfast. Next he brought into the house 11 purple pansies for us to plant together.


We told the boys that they needed to make sure these plants were watched over from all the neighbor kids. Later that day we found Brigham scolding a neighbor girl because she wanted to pick them. It was really funny!
In the afternoon, Jeff and I left the kids with a babysitter and we were off. I didn't know where but was pleasantly surprised when we got to the Schlitz Audubon Nature Reserve Park. It was beautiful! It is right on lake Michigan. The water is shallow and very blue on this part of the lake. We were both surprised to find such clear blue water.



We spent a few hours just walking and talking! Along the way, he surprised me with a big box of huge chocolate covered strawberries. We ate them all! We had these at our wedding reception and try to get them for special occasions.

For dinner we went out to the most amazing restaurant. It was the nicest restaurant we had ever been to. The service was incredible. When we sat down the waitress put our napkins on our laps. She stood there the whole time doing everything for us, except put the fork in our mouths. After I would take some bread the waitress would clean the table of any crumbs. I just imagined how funny it would be to see her work if we had brought all five boys with us! The food was divine! We just soaked it all in.
It was a wonderful wonderful day!! 11 years have just flown by. We can't believe that we are having our 6th baby in a few months. We have been so blessed and feel so grateful for all the great memories and the life we have built together!!
