Old World Wisconsin

Wow! Old World Wisconsin was so much more than we anticipated. We ended up buying a year pass because we didn't even get to see half of it in an entire day. We went for the annual county fair. It was so fun to step back in time and experience Wisconsin as it would have been in the mid 1800's. We told the boys that this was what it was like when Joseph Smith was alive. Because everyone was dressed in costume the boys were looking for Josheph Smith, Brigham Young, and anyone else they might recognize from a photograph. It reminded us of Nauvoo with all the homes that you go in and hear and see demonstrations. We are anxious to return because they have farms of many different ethnic origins that show how they farmed and lived. Little villages where the Germans, Norweigens, Polish and others setteled. We didn't even make it to these because we were having so much fun at the county fair. Enjoy the pictures!

We loved this place, too. We also thought it felt a lot like Nauvoo. I'm impressed Jeff is up on those stilts! That is way harder than it looks! Looks like you picked a neat day to be there! A real treat of a place not so far from here.
